March Birthdays

Since we don't know the next time we will see David, Lanae, and their kids, we decided to have a combined March birthday party for the three in our family who have them. David just happened to be one. HAHA Hey, any excuse to have cake (or pie) right?! Anyways, so we've got David on the 2nd, Austin on the 11th, and Tammy on the 27th. It was a fun little get together and the dessert was AMAZING!
In my family, we have a tradition that the guests gather around the birthday boy or girl and takes a group picture with them. We kind of improvised a bit with this one but at least we know all the kids that were there. Look at their faces! They are so excited to eat cake!
Even Emeri.....I promise....she was excited too. I mean can't you tell?

Dallas World Aquarium

One of our planned trips with Becka while she was with us was to the Dallas World Aquarium. The detail put into the landscaping was incredible. We really felt like we were in the jungle, it was awesome. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the lack of animals, at least to our expectation for the price of the tickets. It was still very enjoyable though and the kids loved it of course. I just loved having my sister there with us. She made it all worth it!
Two face-mos!
I love my big boy.
Emeri was a bit bored while we were waiting in line. We started to sing some of her favorite songs to pass the time. See if you can guess what song she chose.
Big boy acting silly. His new favorite thing to do on camera is to make a funny face.
Sting Rays
Andrew asked Uncle Jon to hold him up so he could touch the shark. I guess he forgot for a moment that he is deathly afraid of heights....not!!  Once he was in the air Andrew wouldn't let go of Jon's arms for nothing.
The kids in the shark tank! Andrew wanting to be a shark himself. HAHA
Okay, so Isaac isn't the only one who likes to give the camera a funny face.
While we were at the aquarium, there was a show put on to celebrate Earth and Nature. Performers put on native costumers and did some Indian tribal dances. It was interesting.
After the Aquarium, we went to Cheddars to celebrate Austin's 28th  birthday! Love that man forever.

Aunt Beka's Visit

My sister Rebekah came down for a visit from Washington. It was fun to have one of my sisters see what life is like in Texas for us. We went to the Dallas Aquarium, lots of parks, restaurants, visited the Mckinney Square, watched movies, went shopping, and played games. We packed the week she was here with lots of fun things. The kids especially loved having their aunt around. Every morning they would come into my room and ask if they could go wake up Aunt Beka. It was too cute.
Three very excited children as we waited for the arrival of Aunt Beka!
Emeri had her first experience with dress up thanks to Aunt Beka's help and Aunt Jenna's toys.
Here are the kids and Beck at the Mckinney Square. We first stopped by Tammy's cake shop, then went on to this adorable old fashion candy shop, then to the Pie Emporium, and finished off with some amazing Square Burger. Healthy?......I think not. HAHA But it sure was a fun outing!
Emeri playing games with Aunt Becka at Square Burger.
Aunt Becka got to see a bit of Emeri's boy side. Having two older brothers she was bound to have one. lol Anyways, every evening we start getting the boys ready for bed, we tell them to grab their pj's. Well, Emeri does not want to be left out, she heads over to the boys chest of drawers and follows my instructions perfectly. It is so cute to see her try to put their pj's on by herself. I try to get her in her own but she squeals and insists on wearing theirs. Glad Beck got to see that.
One day we went to the Allen Mall which has a giant sand pit with a park and some volleyball nets. There is also a water fountain area where the kids got to play and get wet. Katelyn and Andrew were the only ones brave enough to get wet. The others just ran around it, but it was still nice to be in the sun.

Fun in March

Play dough is always a favorite in our house. It takes up many hours in our day. I love it.
Emeri is obsessed with Nathan's shoes. Whenever she can she sneaks behind him and puts them on. HAHA
Emeri is also crazy about Katelyn's doll. She calls it her baby and carries it around everywhere.
One play day in March I noticed that our camping chair was moved from under our back patio to this position. The two younger babes were no where to be found. Once I got a bit closer I discovered the most adorable thing. My little sweeties sharing the chair and talking about the dog who lives next door. HAHA
I love those two identical faces!!!! You two melt my heart.
Emeri loves returning her books to the library by herself. Trust me, I have tried to speed it up by helping, she will not allow it.
Here is Emeri's new Easter dress. I wasn't about to just have her wear it once on Easter Sunday. It is just too cute for that.
At the beginning of March we had a few cold days where we had to bundle up again. Emeri of course fell in love with this hat and wore it for days even after the cold passed.
Here are some other pictures of ours kids all bundled because of the cold weather. Texas is so weird with it's winter weather. For three days it will be 65 degrees and the next three will be 30 degrees. Super inconsistent and annoying.
Ice crashing! The kids love hammering ice into a million pieces. I wish I could keep up with all the ice they wish they had.
The boys look like twins more then ever with matching colored shirts and masks on. On this particular day they decided to both be Batman and save the day.
The kids love their Daddy. Every day when he walks through that front door, there is a stampede of excited children yelling at the top of their lungs.
Isaac got his first taste of lincoln logs! Of course he had to incorporate cars into the picture.
