Isaac's 1st Birthday and 1st Haircut

Here is a family picture at Isaac's 1st birthday party! I want to thank everyone for coming and making it a special day!
Aunt Sereen and Isaac!
Little Isaac before his party, and Rigdon too! (he's in Ashley's tummy still)
Isaac and Grandma Heath
We are all going to miss Uncle Colton when he leaves on his mission. At least well get to see him one last time!
These pull apart cakes were super easy and fun. Austin and I enjoyed making them together and if anyone wants to know how to make them just go to youtube! lol
This was funny. When we started singing Isaac got this look of horror on his face that lasted the whole song. I promise I sing to him at home, I guess he just wasn't expecting everyone to see him happy birthday.
Isaac tried to do it with no hands but he's too long waisted to bend over in the bumbo chair. lol He tried hard though.

I know, I know. It's about time I gave Isaac a hair cut. lol I didn't want to cut his hair because I knew it would make him look older, but after looking at the last crazy hair post I put up of Isaac, I decided it was time. So here are some before pictures of Isaac.

Most of you got to see his haircut already but I a few haven't so here it is. It was harder than I anticipated because he would not hold still and all he wanted to do was try and grab the scissors. But after about 1 hour, this is what it looked like.
I was right, he does look older. Man. He's such a little boy now, no longer our little baby.

Isaac's Quirks & Skills

I think this is a sign that I do too many workout videos in front of Isaac because lately he's been laying on the ground lifting his leg up and down like he's doing leg lifts or something. It's so weird because I thought all little boys do are run and around and eat bugs, but clearly they like show their muscles off too at this age. lol It was pretty cute.

A couple of days ago I was getting Isaac's breakfast ready when I turned around and saw this! He's a natural newspaper reader. He was pointing to things on the page and talking to me about them. It was like we were having a real conversation about the Smith's grocery ad. Our little boy is growing up so fast.
He's contemplating here. We were were both trying to figure out why the price of his milk had gone up.

I have been trying to get pictures of Isaac doing his scrunchy face and I finally got some last week. It's pretty cute. He wrinkles his nose, squints his eyes and makes the sound like he's blowing out of his nose. In these pictures he was doing it for about 5 minutes solid. He would do the face to us and we'd do it back to him over and over again. I am so glad I finally got some pictures of it.

Crazy Hair / Our Little Walker

So this was pretty much the cutest thing ever! Earlier yesterday we went swimming and I put sunscreen all over Isaac. When we got back from swimming a lot of the sunscreen was still on his head so I smeared it on his hair and started playing with with it. This was the end result, it stayed this way for about 30 minutes. Don't worry family, we are going to cut his hair next week for his birthday. -tear-

Our little boy is starting to explore the world of walking. We opened up his umbrella stroller in our apartment and he's been pushing it around everywhere. I am pretty impressed with how fast he's learning to walk and hope he will get it down before our next one arrives!
I love this view!

Last few weeks

Everyone should come over some time as Austin is coming home from work because it is the cutest thing to see. Isaac will crawl over to Austin with this huge smile because he knows Daddy's going to do something fun with him. It's too cute. Isaac does this thing where he throws his head back to tell Austin that he wants to be thrown in the air. He'll do it 5 or 6 times, you got to see it some time.He looks like he has jaundice here. lol He's starting to get his daddy's color.
Oh this was funny. So Austin and I were the ward camp directors and last week before the camp out we went up to the camp ground to look things over before the ward showed up. On the way up our car over heated and basically Austin burned his whole wrist and hand trying to put coolant into the car a bit too early. So when we got back I had him put his whole hand in this big bowl of cold water and ice packs. He said it helped a great deal but what we forgot is that we have a little tyrant now who can crawl and get into everything. So the next few pictures are of Isaac trying to get to the bowl because it has his favorite thing to play with in it; water, and Austin trying to keep it from him.

Daddy gives in way to easy.
Here are a few pictures of Isaac's great grandparents on my dad's side. They came up from Ohio for a wedding and stopped by to say hi. It was so good to see them and for them to get to see Isaac.

Summer Time

Here is Isaac enjoying a messy meal. He loves to feed himself now, probably too much because he shoves hand fulls into his mouth that I know he won't be able to chew up because he still only has teeth on the bottom. lol He tries so hard though. I really have to keep an eye on him when he eats. For example.......
This was hilarious. Austin and I were laughing so hard because after he brought his hand down from putting something in his mouth he jerked back and looked at us with confused eyes. He had bitten his tongue for the first time and didn't know how to react to it. Slowly over about 30 seconds his lip started puckering out and he began making this face. It was so cute, but we couldn't help but laugh.
Here are a few pictures of some summer fun! Isaac's good friend Brinnley invited him to play in the pool last week. They were very entertaining to watch; stealing toys, splashing, and soaking up some sun. Brinnley is about 1 month older then Isaac but when we see them together he's a giant compared to her. She is this cute petite little angel and can out crawl him but he is huge compare to her, as you can see in this picture. lol I have never realized how big he truly is until we get around other babies. He's definitely his daddy's boy.
