Thanksgiving Week- Brother Sister Gifts

Every Christmas Austin's family does a brother sister gift exchange. What they do is split into two groups to go shopping for the individuals in the other group. Once that is done they get together and open the gifts in front of the whole group. This year was a little different because we did the gifts during Thanksgiving instead. All of Austin's siblings were able to come visit Tammy during that time so we decided to do it together then rather then apart for Christmas. It was fun to shop with people I don't normally shop with. For instance, David and Jared. HAHA It was neat to get to spend time with them away from spousal groups. They are great guys.

This picture is priceless. I don't think I will ever get one like it again.

Loved my sunglasses, ear rings, and shoes!!

Thanksgiving Week Randomness

Kadi's mom and sister's watched the kids for us while we went brother sister shopping. I loved this picture of Barbara and Emeri. We sure do love our Nana!

Here are all of Jeff's grandchildren taking a picture in front of his tree. They will always love their Papa.

Too cute! Derek let Emeri borrow his hat and she looked so adorable in it. Got to get me one of those.

We had a little surprise party for Jared since we were all together as a family. It was great.

Uncle David was the coolest uncle there. He was always playing some sort of game with the kids.

Thanksgiving- White Elephant

On Sunday of Thanksgiving week we had a White Elephant game among the adults. Tammy had a white elephant game that she had created for a relief society activity once, so we were able to play the game with a little more flare. She had cute cards that had different songs to sing, scenes to act out, turns to lose, gifts to pass certain ways, and ones that make you guess the tune to a song. It made the game last longer then just a simple white elephant game. We had some good laughs.

Like I said, the game was a bit different then most white elephant ones.

Thanksgiving- Fun at Frontier

On Saturday it was warm enough for the whole family to enjoy some sun at the park. We were there for a good two hours getting the children tired while soaking up some vitamin D ourselves.

Emeri loved the slides. She kept wanting to go down one that had two large bumps through it, which made her look like a worm when she was going down. She would start sitting up but once that first bump came she became the worm every time. HAHA

Love that smile.

So there is this toy at the park that looks very simple, easy, and really boring. Well little did we know that it would captivate us adults for a good 45 minutes. Each time someone was able to actually stay on the spinning wheel, got to unconsciously entertain us when they would try to keep their balance once walking again.

Tammy was so funny. She braved the swirling toy of terror and entertained us more then anymore else. Now she is someone I would love to see drunk! HAHA

Super Hero Night

Our boys favorite activity in the world is to play super heroes with their Daddy. For about 20 minutes I get to see an epic battle between the two superheros and their arch enemy. Occasionally, when the princess is feeling up to it she will join in the battle as well, or play the role of damsel in distress. The boys are so cute when they try to protect her. HAHA

By the end of the battle, Daddy is always dead or wounded on the ground with the bouncing princess wanting a horsey ride.

This kid has the best super hero face, hands down.

The week with Grandma Heath

Because I am so stubborn with trying to save money, I refused to turn on the heat in our house once the weather started to cool down. I didn't want to pay for something that I knew we really could just bundle up for. I mean come on, it is Texas. HAHA Well, little did I know that Texas was going to have a record making cold winter this year. Plus, the week Austin was gone for a work trip was the week that I decided we really did need some heat. For some reason though, I couldn't figure out how to turn it on, but being 40 degrees in our house was just not gonna cut it. So, I packed the kids up and we spent that week at Grandma's house. HAHA
The boys had a blast with Derek while Kadi and I relaxed on the couch chatting away.

Emeri ended up borrowing some of Bryce's pjs. They were so cute and matching!

We love Grandma Heath!

Here she is again, trying on shoes. For some reason each one of my kids have taken a fancy for Derek's Lightning McQueen rain boots. I think it is time to invest in some of our own.

Don't you love Bryce's robot onesie on Emeri?

Even More November

One day the kids and I were walking around our neighborhood when we spotted several children playing in their cul-de-sac. Of course once my kids saw other kids they ran as fast as they could to go play with them.  They had a great time riding bikes, petting cats and dogs, and just running around in the middle of the cul-de-sac. Above all though, the kids favorite thing was to ride on battery run kids cars. Isaac got really into it. He would drive up and down the driveways and climb up the curbs. They were in Heaven. Our new friends even had one car small enough for Emeri to drive. Hers was finger operated so she could handle it a bit better then the pedal ones the boys were driving.

Here I am with the kids in front of the Dallas Temple. The Primary had a temple trip so we just made it a family outing. Andrew was absolutely adorable. The children first started out in the temple talking to one of the workers. Andrew was very quick to raise his hand and answer the workers questions; even though he wasn't in primary yet. People reverently chuckled at him. They just couldn't help it. HAHA

Here is sweet Miss Emeri with her blanket. She is a doll even without the tilted head and blankie. Add that in though and she practically could have asked for the world and I would have given it to her. HAHA

Plus, the blanket also makes it so that she still gives me some cuddle time. Which is becoming shorter and shorter with such an active and independent girl.

Styrofoam airplanes! I found these cool planes at the dollar store and had to get them for the boys. Once we put them together they colored them and ran around crazy pretending to be pilots.

The pretty girl is starting to try to put her own shoes on. -tear-

Cheese!

Brothers!

Here are the kids enjoying lunch at the Perot museum. We had a fun family outing there and made lots of fun memories.
