Halloween Activities

Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. Which is why starting October first we busted out a ton of Halloween decorations, crafts, costumes, and activities. I feel like Halloween is such a great excuse to pull out the craft box while accommodating to a boys nature of spook, thrill, and excitement. Well, with two boys in our house we have done some type of craft or game each day to get ready for Halloween.
Starting so early though in the month was difficult for Isaac, he kept asking when we were going to go trick or treating? I had to explain that we had a few weeks to go. Today, he told me he was so frustrated that "he has been waiting so long for Halloween." AHHH poor boy, well at least we are working on delayed gratification in our family. HAHA

Emeri sure does love her masks.

Our first craft was making bats to hang upside down in our front entry. I think the boys got more excited to be able to climb the ladder to hang the bats up then actually doing the craft, but at least we were having fun together.

On this day we pulled out all of our Halloween costumes. Isaac soon discovered how fun it was to have hard wood floors. Him and Andrew were sliding everywhere while they killed the "bad guys."

Isaac loved this craft! First, I had the boys make their own spiders using their hand prints. Then, I hole punched around the plate and had them weave their own webs around their spiders. Isaac thought it was the coolest thing in the world to be able to make his own web....."just like a spider".

Spooky ghosts creating their own mini marshmallow ghosts. We have these hung up in our craft room and Andrew still asks to this day if he can eat them. HAHA

EEK!! What scary witches and wizards we have around our house.

Here is Emeri enjoying her Halloween window stickers. She loved pulling them off but couldn't quite put them back on, which meant mommy was always present when she wanted to play with them.

Stickers and stamping on foam Halloween characters. It was an easy way to have a lot of fun with letters and spooky characters. I think I got 8 of those cut outs for 1 dollar at the Dollar Tree.

Andrew pulls off a great Iron Man. Look at those furrowed eye brows. HAHA

Aunt Kadi invited the kids over to paint some pumpkins. Derek and Isaac actually stayed on task for quite a while. We were impressed.
