Handsome Boys

One Saturday afternoon our family was at Burlington Coat Factory looking for items for my big trip coming up with the kids. We were searching through the little boy section when my eyes caught these adorable pin striped suits! They were so cute!! Plus, they looked just like Austin's pin striped suit as well. I had to have them. Now all my handsome boys match every Sunday. -tear- little missionaries in the making.

Family Car Wash!

We finally did it! We finally got around to washing the cars. I don't think we washed the van since before we moved to Texas. Needless to say, they needed it badly.
It was really enjoyable to watch the boys "help Dad wash the car." They mostly played in the bucket of water but at least they were having fun with Austin.

Isaac helped to dry the car.

Andrew just ran up and down the street where the excess water drained down. It was cute.

Awe....see told you they had played with the bucket of water. Well....mostly played in the bucket of water.

Even together. lol The funny part about them both in the bucket was watching them try to get out of it.

Enjoying some delicious otter pops after a hard mornings work of washing the cars.

We love to play!

Here are some of the fun things the kids and I have been doing to keep us busy. We love to play, explore, learn, and try new things. Having two crazy boys and a curious little girl as kept me on my toes. I am glad I get to share with you some of things we do.

Sidewalk Chalk Painting: After awhile, sidewalk chalk gets really boring for my kids, especially because the colors are so dull and my boys don't know how to draw yet. So, one day I changed it up, and now we will never just use normal sidewalk chalk again. I brought out a bucket of water and a paint brush. I let them dump their chalk pieces into the water and when they pulled them back out to draw with, the colors showered up ten times brighter! (once it dried) It was so cool. Then Andrew used the chalky water to paint on our patio and Isaac on his "car". Same results.

Sticker fun!

Isaac built this nifty little contraption all by himself. He said it was a bridge for his car. Andrew, as you can see, was playing right along with him.

Funny Faces! The boys like doing funny faces for the camera now. We had quite the 15 minutes of fun,

Homemade Slim: I did this once two years ago with Isaac and I wanted to try it out again. Boy was it a success!!! I think I did the ratios better as well this time because the boys were able to blow some massive bubbles.

Watching the slim slowly get longer and longer.

We love to cook! The boys enjoy scooping and dumping things so I thought hey I bet they would love cooking! Sure enough, it was a success. Isaac even flipped the pancakes and plopped the chocolate chips down.

So, Andrew has a terrible habit of wiping his hands on his clothes when they are dirty. He even got as bad as putting his finger in a random women's cookie frosting and then wiping it on HER clothes!! Yeah...Kadi is my witness. Totally happened. I have been working so hard with him to ask for a napkin but we are definitely not there yet. One day.

Emeri loves to get in the boy's camping chairs all by herself. It scares me half to death but it is ooober adorable when I don't know that she is doing it and I catch her sitting like this.

Our first paint experience

You know how you look at the paint job in a house that you might potentially buy and say, "we are so painting over that color." ----I will never say that again. I can honestly say I do not like painting. From now on, someone else can paint for me, or we will stick with what can with the house.
We decided to change the color of our kitchen, thinking it wouldn't take long and that the color we chose on the card would actually be the color on our walls. Nope. Don't know that I was thinking. Oh and of course my experience didn't start off well with me dropping the entire gallon of paint on our kitchen floor. Oh yeah, we still have turquoise grout lines. It just isn't for me. We taped, but the tape didn't work. lol  Oh well, at least out kitchen looks better then it did before. What do you think?

Dress Up Time

Over the 5 years we have been married, I have slowly collected dress up clothes for my kids to play with. Well, we finally had our first real dress up party and it was a blast. I had things in our dress up boxes from when I was a little girl. I know crazy, I probably should have thrown some of the stuff away, but it was been fun to see my kids play with things that I used.

Andrew busting out some spider man moves!

What a mini face-mo!!

The pretty princess had fun in pink. Last Halloween I went to D.I. and bought a bunch of skirts, dresses, and capes for little girls to play with. I can't believe we are already playing with them!

Family Freezer Jam

Last week we made strawberry jam together as a family. I was so sick of the store jams either being loaded with high fructose corn syrup but cheap, or really expensive with no high fructose corn syrup but a really small jar. So, we decided to make our own. It was a great family activity, Isaac helped cut the strawberries (he did really well) and Andrew helped mash them. All in all a fun family activity.

Gotta love the scowl. (Even when he isn't wearing the suit, Spider man's super power is always present)

 Awww....there's Andrew.

Having Fun in July

I can't believe it is the middle of July already! Well, the kids are getting as big as ever. Andrew is talking like crazy now, using complete sentences and everything. Isaac has really looked forward to our ward's pool parties they do every Tuesday. We also have him signed up for a once a week preschool that he is looking forward to. Emeri is just the light of our days, she makes the boys laugh all the time and her soft spot is her Daddy. She loves her Daddy. Well, here are a few things the kids have been up to this month so far.

Superheros are always in the house. Oh, and did you guys know that Spider Man has a new super power? It is called 'The Scowl,' it has the ability to freeze some on the spot and wonder what they did wrong. lol

Here is Emeri's new swing we got for 5 bucks at a garage sale. We got some hooks and hung it from our covered patio.

Emeri loves her rocking chair. She can get on it all by herself, which is actually impressive since it rocks while she is trying to get up.

Letter fun with stickers.

I went to the clearance section at Walmart and they had three Batman masks. They boys were all over them, but not as much as Emeri was. She never took hers off the whole time we were at the store.

Clean babes after hair cuts and curls.

A typical view from my rear view mirror. The boys fast asleep because they refuse to take naps now, and Emeri, bored as heck, figured out how to suck her big toe.

We all love it when Daddy is home. The kids miss Austin so much when he is gone, especially little Emeri. He is her favorite.

I would like all of us to take a moment of silence for this picture. Yes, it is true. Yes, it did happen. Yes! Andrew Stephen Heath smiled with his eyes open!
